After School Art Club
Our After School Art Club is a class that meets throughout the school year on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-5pm. Geared for students who attend early-release schools. Register for one or both days. Students enrolled in this class LOVE to create! They spend the entire school year together and become a tight-knit group who enjoy developing their skills in rendering flora and fauna, landscape, perspective drawing, facial proportions and more using a variety of media from pencil and pastels to watercolor, acrylics, clay, and more. The class is taught by Nora (Tuesdays) and Jean (Thursdays), both are professional staff artists with over 20 years experience teaching children and adults.
Busing to the studio can be arranged for students who attend Anderson, Anishinabe, Armatage, Barton, Folwell, Whittier, or Windom schools.
Typically, our schedule each day looks like this:
2:00-3:00 – Snack time, other activities (board games, homework, outside play)
3:00-5:00 – Guided Art Project
The class is open and accessible to all children. Those with disabilities may be accompanied by a family member or PCA if needed. Call with any questions or concerns. Scholarships Available for those in need.
Program cost: $35 per day regular price/ $30 per day member price
